Hello watchers, and welcome back to The Charming Bachelor! I’m your host, Nora Radberry, and we’re here at the house the morning of eliminations.
To say things are tense in the house, would be an understatement. All the girls are feeling it as we inch closer to their challenge at noon. Nick was kind, trying to draw out some of the tension by making breakfast for the girls. And it seemed to work for a little bit, until Jasmine waltzed into the kitchen and spotted Ariel next to our Prince.
She made sure to walk around the counter to him and show Ariel who won last night. Not that Jasmine is aware of that kiss after they got home from their date.
But it was enough to cause our little Mermaid to look between the Prince and Jasmine before walking out the backdoor. Cinderella had chosen to make hot dogs for breakfast out at the grill, and we guess that it sounded a lot better than spending the morning staring at Jasmine.
We understand, Ariel. We do.
“It’s not like I was trying to draw attention or sympathy to myself, but it also hurts, you know. You think you have something serious with someone, and it’s like she’s come in and stomped all over my heart.”
It certainly showed as Ariel walked around the house for a bit.
The Prince must of sensed something was bringing her down, or he saw her face and isn’t a complete knucklehead. Because after a lot of the Princesses wandered to prepare themselves for the challenge, he sat down with Ariel to try and talk to her about it all.
“I don’t want her to feel upset or anything, but I also didn’t ask Jasmine to come over and great me like that either. I really like Ariel, and I hope we can get past this. But her sadness isn’t seeming to let up. Maybe we can cheer her up before the next group date.”
We certainly hope so. It’s heartbreaking to see her walk around with her head low and all that sadness coming off her.
That doesn’t stop the elimination challenge though. The four Princesses with the lowest romantic relationship with our Prince compete to stay in the competition. Fortunately for Ariel, because her relationship with the Prince after the first group date, she’s safe from competing. But since she and Jasmine are the only two to have a romantic relationship, all five of the other Princesses will have to compete.
So at noon sharp, we summon them to the competition area. Which just happens to be the open area of the garden to the left of the house. The woodworking tables have been removed and in their place are some bonsai trees. Since a lot of the Princesses seemed to have taken to the ones back by the pool, we thought this would be a fantastic challenge.
Last Princess to finish working on her tree, will be subject to the elimination compound below the mansion. And all of the Princesses got to work quickly.
The first to finish is Aurora. We’re not exactly sure what she was going for, with no leaves left.
“It’s called a minimalist style. You have to be pretty sophisticated to understand it.”
It must be pretty popular, because Mulan finished with the same style. Minimalist, or not sure what they were doing. We’re not entirely sure. But Merida came in a pretty fast third, making her bonsai tree into a heart.
Elsa came in just in the nick of time. Finishing fourth and securing her save to stay in the mansion.
Sadly that means that Cinderella is the first Princess to move from the mansion to the elimination area below the house.
We’ve tried to make it as comfortable as we could, being that they won’t see sun for several weeks. So sorry to see Cinderella go, but it is now her time. She just trimmed too slowly.
“I can’t believe Aurora let me lose! We were supposed to help each other. The least she could have done was trim some of my tree while she stood there waiting for everyone else to finish!”
Too bad, Cinderella. Off to the elimination compound for you. At least it’s furnished nicely, and has nearly everything you could ever want.
While all this was going down, Ariel and Nick were still working everything out. They seem to be doing alright now, at least iwth the talking. Who’s to say if their relationship will ever be the same again.
We’re certainly willing to find out!
“I’m not worried. I know what the Prince and I have is true. She can mope around him all she likes.”
Well, that’s some interesting insight, Jasmine. Thanks for the update.
The rest of the Princesses took their time relaxing after eliminations, glad to be safe for another week, and looking forward to another chance at a solo date with our prince.
“I’m so glad that I was able to make it through this round. My story with the Prince is far from over, and I intend to make the most of our next group date to show him I’m really in this.”
Well, Ariel has certainly set a higher standard for what to try on these group dates. Who knew love could spark so early, or so soon. We didn’t, but we’re certainly liking where it’s all headed.
And to check in with how Cinderella is fairing down in her new home. She looks like she’s at least having some fun with those video games.
“Who knew that this machine was so fun! I can’t believe they didn’t give us one of these upstairs!”
Well, we’ll see if she keeps that chipper tune the longer she’s down there alone. Granted, in only a week’s time, she’ll have a companion as someone else will join us. I’ll see you next week on The Charming Bachelor for another group date. Until then, I’m your host, Nora Radberry, signing off!
